JRA Commercial Compilation: Cool Japan Racing Association ads featuring racehorses (1–10)
JRA: “Be With. Bringing the power of horse racing to society.” (Campaign)Narration: Masami Nagasawa

This commercial introducing JRA’s social contribution activities is the “Be With.
Harnessing the Power of Horse Racing for Society.” edition.
The narration, in which the speaker repeatedly asks herself, “Can we be kinder to the environment, to people, and to animals?” is performed by Masami Nagasawa, whose calm tone matches the mood of the ad.
The BGM features the children’s song Kono Michi, sung by Miki Imai.
Her beautiful vocals, accompanied by piano, are a must-hear.
JRA Keep Running Toward the Future: “Together with People and Society” / “Alongside Those Bonds” / “With Gratitude in Our Hearts”

Accompanied by a narration that begins, “We run at all times,” the legendary racehorses of their eras appear on screen.
Oguri Cap, Deep Impact—it feels as if these famous horses were racing across the turf just yesterday.
The background music that heightens the emotion, Gen Hoshino’s ‘Isshun’ (A Moment), is such a wonderful song.
I’ve heard that Hoshino wrote this piece specifically for the JRA 70th Anniversary brand commercial, which shows just how deep the sentiment for JRA’s history runs.
This is a moving song you’ll want to keep listening to—whether it brings to mind the great racehorses or the person you love.
JRA HERO IS COMING. “At Last, the Spring GⅠ” EditionMasami Nagasawa, Ai Mikami, Kuranosuke Sasaki

This is a commercial that conveys the excitement of the spring G1 season kicking off, not only from the perspective of spectators but also by capturing and highlighting the feelings of those who are taking on the challenge.
The storyline has Kuranosuke Sasaki conveying to Masami Nagasawa and Ai Miura—who are getting pumped up as spectators—that the horses competing are fired up as well.
Spring G1 naturally draws attention to the Classics, and you can clearly sense the anticipation of what kind of heroes will emerge through the expressions of the cast.
Finally, the CM introduces the race that’s coming up right when the spot airs—the Oka Sho, which can be considered the opening of the Classics—tying back to the earlier content and effectively building excitement.

JRA: Your horse racing begins to run. “GI (Takarazuka Kinen)” Edition

Ikimonogakari’s “Ikou” is bursting with a sense of speed and a bright, sparkling worldview that’s quintessentially them.
Written and composed by Hotaka Yamashita, who was a member until June 2021, this song was used in JRA’s 2016 TV commercials.
Its message, which resonates with the thrill of horse racing and a life lived alongside horses, is powerful and truly uplifting! It may bring back memories for some, and surely make others want to head to the races.
It’s a wonderful cheer song that propels your resolve forward, wrapping you in a vivid, colorful mood!
JRA Your Horse Racing Starts to Run: “Spring” EditionKasumi Arimura, Eita, Shofukutei Tsurube

Ikimono-gakari’s “My Stage,” which was used in the 2015 JRA commercial series “Your Horse Racing Takes Off,” featuring Kasumi Arimura and Eita, is a track from Ikimono-gakari’s seventh album “FUN! FUN! FANFARE!” released in 2014.
It’s a gentle, heartwarming number that seems to slip right into your heart no matter who you are or what mood you’re in.
It’s also a song that can soothe you when you’re feeling down.
2011 GI Promotion: Arima Kinen Edition

“20th Century Boy,” the mega-famous song by T.
Rex, was released in 1973.
Speaking of T.
Rex, they’re a band that can be considered a leading figure of glam rock and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
From the very intro, the song is striking—it doesn’t feel like an old track at all.
The song pairs perfectly with the powerful, rippling muscles of a champion racehorse, resulting in a dynamic commercial.
It’s also likely one of those irresistible ads for horse racing fans from the T.
Rex generation.
JRA 2007 CM Song

Remioromen’s “Akanesora,” which was used as the JRA’s theme song in 2007, is the band’s ninth single.
With its gentle melody, it somehow tightens your chest and leaves you feeling a bit sentimental.
While many spring songs are exciting and uplifting, this one conveys the melancholy of spring—a bittersweet feeling that’s hard to put into words.
It’s the perfect song to listen to in early spring when a chill still lingers— not sad, but wistfully poignant.
