Even karaoke beginners can relax! Easy-to-sing songs for men (31–40)

SUNGen Hoshino

Gen Hoshino – SUN (Official Video)
SUN Hoshino Gen

Gen Hoshino’s eighth single in total, released in May 2015.

It is said to be a song written specifically as the theme for Fuji TV’s Wednesday 10 p.

m.

drama “Kokoro ga Pokitto ne.” As a singer, Gen Hoshino is known for his very simple vocal tone and straightforward, sincere songs, so when singing this track at karaoke, detailed vocal techniques are hardly necessary.

If there’s a spot that might be challenging for men who struggle with high notes, it would be in the second run of the chorus, where there’s a single part that shifts to falsetto.

Please take care to calmly and smoothly switch your vocal placement at that point.

March 9th Remioromen

The start of the chorus goes a bit higher, but there aren’t many sudden pitch changes, and the tempo is slow, so it should be easy to stay on pitch.

The rhythm is also simple and straightforward, making it an easy song to sing even for those who aren’t confident singers.

Plus, since it’s well-known, it’s nice that you can ask for help if you get stuck.

RainSEKAI NO OWARI

This is SEKAI NO OWARI’s 11th major-label single, released in July 2017.

It was written as the theme song for the animated film Mary and The Witch’s Flower.

I found it to be a fine piece that evokes a clear image of a fresh sky after the rain.

The string arrangements heard throughout the track are lovely as well.

Fukase’s vocals have a slightly high-pitched quality, so some people might hesitate to pick this song at karaoke.

However, the vocal melody itself, like the song’s overall mood, is very gentle, easy to remember, and easy to sing, so please give it a try.

If you focus on placing the sound against your upper palate as you sing, you can get a bit closer to his voice, which features rich high-order overtones.

catDISH//

It was released as a coupling track to DISH//’s 10th single, “We Did It.” Later (in April 2020), an acoustic version was released digitally as “Neko – THE FIRST TAKE ver.” It’s a very gentle song that conveys a warm, heartwarming atmosphere.

The vocal melody itself is very simple and easy to remember, and the vocal range used isn’t very wide, so I think it’s quite easy for anyone to sing.

Since the song is built on a slightly bouncing beat, be careful not to let the vocal rhythm become flat.

If you try singing so that the sound resonates against the roof of your mouth, you can reproduce a voice rich in higher overtones like the original performer’s—give it a try.

Single Bed Sharam Q

Sharan Q’s sixth single overall, released in October 1994.

This song is recommended as part of the repertoire for anyone who isn’t confident with high notes or doesn’t feel very sure about their singing ability—in short, for anyone who finds singing difficult.

Tsunku’s own singing gives more the impression of a relatable older brother who’s good at karaoke than a full-fledged vocalist boasting overwhelming vocal prowess, which makes the song very easy for anyone to sing.

If possible, try not to imitate Tsunku; instead, sing it with your own interpretation and expression.

Karaoke for Beginners: Easy-to-Sing Songs for Men (41–50)

SolaninASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION

ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION’s signature song “Soranin.” It features a simple, singable melody that really captures the feel of Japanese rock.

There aren’t any particularly high parts, so it’s easy for men who aren’t good with high notes or falsetto to sing.

I think it would also sound cool if you deliberately sang it with a husky voice.

Bunny GirlAKASAKI

【AKASAKI】Bunny Girl – Natural(Music Video)
Bunny GirlAKASAKI

The song “Bunny Girl” is so viral nationwide that there isn’t a day you don’t hear it on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube Shorts.

It’s the signature work of up-and-coming singer-songwriter AKASAKI, characterized by a light yet composed melody.

While many might feel this rhythmic track is hard to sing, its vocal range is very narrow, making it easy for any male singer to handle.

The pitch movement in the vocal line is also gentle, so the difficulty is definitely easy.
