[If You Can Sing These, You’re Awesome!] Cool Karaoke Songs for Women (181–190)

MEOWSTAYC

STAYC is a K-pop idol group with an adorable style and performances that leave a strong impression.

They’re a classic idol group known for their catchy musicality, and lately they’ve been rapidly gaining popularity in Japan as well.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is MEOW.

It may seem catchy and easy to sing, but it surprisingly has many high-pitched parts, and they come one after another.

On top of that, the mood changes drastically in the rap section, so a wide expressive range and solid fundamental vocal skills are required.

Once moreTani Yuuki

Once Again – Tani Yuuki [MV]
Tani Yuuki once more

This is Tani Yuuki’s 11th digital single, released in September 2022.

As you may know, Tani Yuuki is a male singer, but his slightly androgynous voice is something I’d love for women to try and recreate by singing it at karaoke, which is why I’m introducing it here.

When you listen through the song, your attention naturally goes to the chorus, where falsetto is used.

However, I think the most important point when singing this song is how convincingly you can deliver the relatively low range outside of the chorus.

Try practicing so that you can produce a voice that resonates firmly in the chest cavity, as if you’re directing the sound toward your lower jaw inside your mouth.

Letter ~To You at Fifteen~Angela Aki

Letter ~To You, Fifteen~ Angela Aki

A signature song by Angela Aki.

It’s an innovative track that turns a letter exchange between my 15-year-old self and my present self directly into a song.

Angela Aki’s gentle voice really touches the heart.

I think it’s classified as a ballad, but since it has a bright feel, it should be fine to sing at karaoke! The key isn’t that high, so I’d say it’s an easy song to sing.

I am the wind.Carmen Maki & OZ

“I Am the Wind” is a song by Carmen Maki & OZ, a rock band formed by vocalist Carmen Maki with guitarist Hirofumi Kasuga and others.

It was included on their 1975 album “Carmen Maki & OZ,” which sold over 100,000 copies—an impressive hit for a rock album at the time.

The song was later released as a single in 1978.

Fans of artists like Janis Joplin will love its rock sound.

It’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser at karaoke!

child of the devilAi Higuchi

Ai Higuchi / Devil's Child [Official Video] | Ai Higuchi “Akuma no Ko” Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 ED theme
Devil's Child Higuchi Ai

This is Ai Higuchi’s 10th single released exclusively for digital distribution, released in January 2022.

It was written as the ending theme for Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2.

The song fully showcases Higuchi’s captivating low register.

While it unfolds mainly around a verse section that makes the most of her lower range, it also demands vocal prowess for the falsetto high notes; if you can pull these off, you’ll create a genuine “Ah!!” moment of surprise.

The subtle sounds that escape each time the lips part draw listeners into the song’s emotional core, shaping its shifts in feeling and building its climactic rise.

Love StoryNamie Amuro

[Love Story] (stage-MIX 2011–2018) | Namie Amuro | chd
Namie Amuro Love Story

This is a ballad included on Namie Amuro’s 38th single, “Sit! Stay! Wait! Down! / Love Story,” released in 2011.

The melody line is difficult to follow, but it’s really cool if you can pull it off.

Rather than trying to imitate her distinctive singing style, I think it’s better to sing it in your own way!

Bring the Rain to Quench the ThirstMinami

Minami is an up-and-coming artist whose popularity is rapidly rising as a cutting-edge singer.

Among her songs, the one I’d especially love you to sing is Kawaki wo Ameku.

Beginning with a heartrending vocal, this track is a cool love song with a rock vibe.

If you can sing along while riding its sense of speed, your karaoke session is sure to heat up.
