Even karaoke beginners can relax! Easy-to-sing songs for men

At karaoke with friends, there are probably many men who feel, “I’m actually not good at singing and I get nervous…” right? No one wants to go off pitch or miss the high notes and feel embarrassed.

The truth is, there are plenty of songs that anyone can sing comfortably, as well as classic tracks that get the whole room excited! This time, we’re introducing J-POP karaoke songs that even those who aren’t confident in their singing can perform with peace of mind.

We’ve selected many songs with simple melodies and rhythms that are easy to remember, so please use this as a reference!

Even karaoke beginners can relax! Easy-to-sing songs for men (241–250)

planetariumBUMP OF CHICKEN

This is the 10th single by the Japanese rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN, released in July 2005.

With its relaxed tempo and gentle melody, the song is crafted in a way that simply listening to it brings to mind a clear, beautiful sky projected in a planetarium.

Reflecting that atmosphere, the vocal melody doesn’t use a particularly wide range, making it a song that anyone can casually hum along to and enjoy singing.

Picture the starry sky of a planetarium and immerse yourself fully in the song’s world as you sing.

Just by doing that, I’m sure what your performance conveys to listeners will grow many times over, transforming it from “your song” into something that truly reaches them!

Selfish JulietBOØWY

[TV] BOØWY - Wagamama Juliet (All Night Fuji live highlight, 2 minutes 03 seconds)
Selfish Juliet BOØWY

This was BOØWY’s third single, released in 1986.

Kyosuke Himuro handled both the lyrics and composition, and it’s said he even made the demo tape himself at the time.

While it’s different from BOØWY’s signature cool, uptempo tracks, it’s mid-tempo, very easy to sing, and pleasant to listen to.

Rose of PassionTHE BLUE HEARTS

[Official] THE BLUE HEARTS 'Rose of Passion' [6th Single (1990/7/25)] THE BLUE HEARTS / Jyounetsu no Bara
The Rose of Passion THE BLUE HEARTS

This is THE BLUE HEARTS’ ninth single, released on July 25, 1990.

It’s a so-called “beat punk” track that dominated the early ’90s—up-tempo and incredibly catchy.

You don’t need any complicated theories to sing a song like this! Just get into the groove and have fun.

There aren’t any musically or vocally difficult parts, so I especially recommend this for people who are usually reluctant to sing—pick it at karaoke and enjoy.

I’m sure you’ll discover just how fun singing can be!

ACTORSora Tomonari

Sora Tomonari – “ACTOR” [Music Video]
ACTOR Sora Tomonari

Sora Tomonari is a singer-songwriter who enjoys overwhelming support from young people, especially teenagers.

You can hardly go a day on TikTok or YouTube Shorts without hearing his songs.

Among his tracks, the one I particularly recommend is ACTOR.

It has a relatively narrow vocal range throughout and lacks complex melodic leaps, making it one of the easier songs to sing among current trends.

It also goes over well at karaoke, so be sure to add it to your repertoire.

Snow Magic FantasySEKAI NO OWARI

SEKAI NO OWARI “Snow Magic Fantasy”
Snow Magic Fantasy SEKAI NO OWARI

This is Japanese band SEKAI NO OWARI’s fifth major-label single, released in January 2014.

As the title suggests, it has the vibe of a bright, fun, snowy white world, and just listening to it makes you feel really refreshed! Even for karaoke, there aren’t any particularly tricky parts, so you can enjoy the mood of the song and anyone should be able to sing it happily.

Many people might think, because of the tone of the original vocals, “It might be too high for me to sing.

.

.

,” but I don’t think you need to worry too much about that.

When singing, rather than focusing on the high notes, it’s better to pay attention to maintaining accurate pitch in the lower, continuous notes of the A and B melody sections.

Enjoy it with a refreshing feel!

red-orangeACIDMAN

It’s a song by the three-piece rock band ACIDMAN, released as an indie single in 2000 and later as a major-label single in 2003.

Since it’s not the kind of song where you have to belt out the vocals, it’s easy to sing, and the slightly nostalgic vibe gives it a really cool image.

Paradise BabyRIP SLYME

RIP SLYME’s fifth single, released on June 26, 2002.

The first key to singing this song coolly at karaoke is how slickly and stylishly you can nail the Japanese rap in the A section.

Japanese rap can easily come off really lame if done poorly, so keep it light, stay in the groove, and MC without falling behind the rhythm.

Once you clear that, the melodic parts aren’t high in key and consist of simple repeating phrases, so you shouldn’t stumble there.

Have fun and give it your best!
