Karaoke songs that are easy and fun for high school students to sing
Compared to today’s songs, older tracks didn’t pack in as many words.
Because of that, many of them were, on the surface, easier to sing than modern songs.
That doesn’t mean today’s songs are necessarily harder, though.
Since recent songs tend to cram in more words, it’s actually easier to disguise flaws, so depending on the track, some can be quite easy for anyone to sing well.
This time, I’ve picked out songs from that category that I especially recommend for high school students.
We’ll be featuring the latest tracks, so be sure to check it out to the end!

Karaoke Songs Recommended for High School Students That Are Easy to Sing and Fun (121–130)
PretenderOfficial HIGE DANDism

This is the second single by the Japanese piano pop band Official HIGE DANDism, released in May 2019.
It was also selected as the theme song for the film “The Confidence Man JP: The Movie.” It’s a very characteristic track of theirs, with a refreshing, easy-to-listen vibe.
Many people may find the original key too high for karaoke, so please be mindful when setting the key.
If you’re confident with high notes, this is a great song to show off your voice.
Singing with as bright a tone as possible and a light, breezy delivery will help it sound great.
Also, be careful not to let the rhythm or groove feel heavy.
Effeminate; overly sentimental; being clingy/whiny (context-dependent)Golden Bomber

A signature hit by Golden Bomber that entertains us with unimaginable live performances.
This song became a hot topic for earning them spots on the Kouhaku Uta Gassen for several years.
It’s not just for singing—you can shout calls, jump, and dance along.
A classic go-to song for hyping up karaoke.
Girls' RuleNogizaka46

Many idol songs speak for girls’ feelings, and they really hype up the room when you sing them at karaoke.
This track, “Girls’ Rule,” was released in 2013 as Nogizaka46’s sixth single, with Mai Shiraishi as the center.
It’s packed with the everyday life and emotions unique to junior and senior high school girls, making it a cute, high-energy song.
It’s not just fun to sing solo—it’s a number that gets everyone excited when you sing and dance together.
Future IslandMori Calliope

One of the most popular VTubers right now, Mori Calliope.
She has released many memorable songs as a vocalist.
Among them, the track I especially recommend for high school students is “Mirai-jima ~Future Island~.” Chosen as a theme song for the manga One Piece, this piece features the kind of catchy melody often found in anime songs.
The vocal lines follow suit and are relatively simple, designed so they don’t require long sustained notes or powerful projection.

Suzume feat. ToakaRADWIMPS

RADWIMPS’s “Suzume feat.
Toaka,” which gained popularity as the theme song for Makoto Shinkai’s film Suzume, brought Toaka nationwide recognition through this track.
Because of Toaka’s clear, pure vocals, the song can seem difficult, but that’s not really the case.
There are no parts that require belting or hitting very high notes, so it’s actually easy to sing.
If you find the highest pitch you can produce most comfortably and adjust the key accordingly, anyone can sing it with the same delicate, ephemeral feel as the original.
wishasmi

Singer-songwriter asmi has gained nationwide popularity after collaborating with the currently trending rapper Rin-ne.
She’s an artist known for her cute tone and clean, unornamented vocals.
Among her works, the one I especially recommend to high school students is “wish.” It’s a charming Christmas song with almost no high notes, making it easy to sing even for those who aren’t confident singers.
If you sing it in a whispery voice like the original, the vibe really comes through—give it a try.
Dried flowersYuri

Released in 2020, Yuuri’s “Dry Flower” spread mainly through social media and became a long-running hit.
The song is a breakup ballad told from a woman’s perspective, and many listeners have probably shed tears because of it.
Yuuri’s vocals heighten the sense of heartbreak and really tug at your heartstrings.
It might be a bit challenging to sing perfectly at karaoke, but try adjusting the key and give it a go.
Since it’s from a woman’s point of view, it’s great for women to sing as well.
It’s a song that everyone will naturally find themselves humming.
