A must-see for low-voiced women! Popular songs that are easy to sing at karaoke

These days, many songs for both women and men are in higher keys, so there are probably many women with lower voices who feel, “I can’t find songs I can sing because my voice is low,” or “I’m looking for lower-key songs for karaoke.” Forcing yourself to sing songs that don’t suit your natural voice can hurt your throat, and it can be stressful when you can’t sing the way you want.

But don’t worry! There are plenty of songs that sound captivating even with a low voice.

In this article, we’ll introduce lots of songs that women with lower ranges can sing comfortably and confidently.

Women Artists (91–100)

Blooming at nightHoshimachi Suisei

As of June 2025, the average score on JOYSOUND karaoke scoring seems to be around 90.

35, giving the impression that the average is on the higher side.

Indeed, among Hoshimachi Suisei’s songs, this one doesn’t have an especially high range and is fairly compact, so it’s easier to hit the pitches compared to her other tracks.

Also, the rhythm is very easy to grasp, so once you learn it, it’s a song that’s easy to sing! If you sing while clearly keeping a 4/4 beat, your timing will match more easily and you’ll line up with the pitch bar perfectly.

Once you’re comfortable, it might be a good idea to add techniques like vibrato!

Aporia Yorushika

Yorushika is a popular music duo that keeps releasing hit numbers.

Their vocalist, suis, is unusual for a modern female singer in that she has a low voice, so women with lower vocal ranges may already have her songs in their repertoire.

Among Yorushika’s works, the one I especially recommend is Aporia.

The ad-libbed embellishments in the chorus are a bit tricky, but aside from that, the melody sits in the low to lower-mid range, making it very easy to sing for women with lower voices.

Please forget Yorushika

Yorushika’s new song “Please Forget.” Yorushika consistently draws attention with their delicate sound, and this work in particular is wrapped in an especially emotive, airy atmosphere.

The track is crafted to be slightly surreal and simple, perfectly matching that mood.

Although the song sits mainly in the mid-to-high to high vocal range, the overall range is narrow, so if you adjust the key, it should be easy to sing even for lower-voiced women.

Definitely try singing it in a key that suits you.

Love Revolution 21Morning Musume

It’s Morning Musume’s ‘Love Revolution 21.

‘ Released in 2000 when Morning Musume was hugely popular, it became a massive hit, even selling over a million copies! It’s a dance number that will lift your spirits.

Try consciously switching your vocal style between the cool, powerful parts and the lively, bursting-with-energy parts.

Plus, if you divide the parts among a large group and sing together, it’s sure to hype everyone up!

School HeavenKyoko Koizumi

It was released in November 1989 as Kyoko Koizumi’s 28th single, but the original version was released by Finger 5 as their fifth single in 1974.

Even people who don’t know this song have probably heard the call-and-response at the very beginning of the intro.

If you sing this one as a cool rock song, you should be fine even if high notes aren’t your strong suit.

However, in the chorus—more precisely, in the latter part of the C section where the tempo drops to half-time and the melody goes a bit higher—try to sing it without relying on falsetto as much as possible.

Silent majorityKeyakizaka46

It was Keyakizaka46’s debut single, released in April 2016, with Yurina Hirate in the center position.

Since it’s an idol song and a debut track at that, from a technical standpoint the original comes off quite amateurish, which actually makes it very easy for anyone to sing, including in terms of vocal range.

In that sense, it might be more accurate to say it’s recommended for women who struggle with high notes rather than specifically for women with low voices.

That said, I’m not criticizing the members of Keyakizaka46 or the song itself—far from it.

It’s undeniably a fun song to sing together, and I think it’s a great example of how you can create a good song without complex melodies or advanced vocal technique.

I really hope you’ll just sing it without overthinking and enjoy it!

I miss youAdo

This is the sixth song by Japanese singer Ado, released digitally on August 21, 2021.

It was used as an insert song in the film Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – Final, which premiered on August 20, 2021.

Some may not associate Ado with being a low-register singer, but the solid low notes she delivers in the A-melody and B-melody sections are truly noteworthy.

The powerful, soaring high notes in the chorus stand out all the more because they’re grounded by those stable low vocals in the A and B sections.

For those who worry, “My voice is low…,” the chorus might feel intimidating at first; however, expanding your range upward is possible with proper training.

I encourage you to sing it without fear and keep practicing.
