These days, many songs for both women and men are in higher keys, so there are probably many women with lower voices who feel, “I can’t find songs I can sing because my voice is low,” or “I’m looking for lower-key songs for karaoke.” Forcing yourself to sing songs that don’t suit your natural voice can hurt your throat, and it can be stressful when you can’t sing the way you want.
But don’t worry! There are plenty of songs that sound captivating even with a low voice.

Male Artists (11–20)
LOOP ~One of the BE:ST-03 RYUHEI~RYUHEI

This song was created as part of BE:FIRST’s solo project and is RYUHEI’s solo track.
The vocal range is around D3 to D5, focusing mainly on lower notes.
The overall vibe is calm, so it should be easy for lower-voiced women who struggle with high notes to sing.
The chorus goes a bit higher, but since it’s a stylish track with strong R&B elements, singing gently with a breathy feel rather than belting will suit the song.
I think it’s great to have a song like this in your repertoire, so definitely give it a listen!
JourneyFujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze’s “Tabiji” is a song one of my students practiced, and it’s recommended for lower-voiced female singers.
The overall range is B2–G#4.
The verse (A-melody) has a lot of low notes, and the range gradually rises toward the chorus.
If the chorus feels high, try imitating Fujii Kaze’s gentle singing style from the start; using a breathy tone might make it easier to sing.
It’s an easy song to understand as a practice piece, so try singing it with the feeling of gradually building momentum!
StargazeSixTONES

SixTONES’ “Stargaze” was released in July 2025.
Since it’s a group song that spans a wide vocal range, it’s fun to sing solo, but splitting parts among several people works great too! With lyrics, composition, and production by Yojiro Noda of RADWIMPS, the rhythm has a unique feel, so it might be tricky to sing at first glance.
Be sure to gather your fellow SixTONES fans and have fun singing it together!
Happinessstorm

Arashi’s 20th single, released in September 2007.
In fact, not just this song—Arashi’s tracks are a classic recommendation for women with lower voices! The relatively low range in the A-melody fits women with lower keys perfectly, and while many men might find the chorus “a bit high,” women should be able to sing it comfortably in the original key.
ACTORSora Tomonari

For women in their teens and twenties, the first name that likely comes to mind when you think of a low-voiced artist is Sora Tomonari, right? His songs feature so many low phrases that it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call him the prodigy of low-register tracks.
Among them, “ACTOR” showcases an especially sultry, low tone.
The song has a somewhat gothic vibe, so it’s recommended to highlight the low notes while mixing in some whispery vocals.
There are a few high phrases here and there, but they’re simply an octave up; if you sing the lower line, you won’t have any issues with high notes.
SOULSOUPOfficial HIGE DANDism

This is Official HIGE DANDism’s 14th digital-only single, released in December 2023.
It was newly written as the theme song for the animated film SPY×FAMILY CODE: White, which premiered the same year.
It’s a very “Higedan”-like funky, up-tempo number with punchy brass arrangements! The band’s vocalist, Satoshi Fujihara, is known for his bright, powerful high notes for a male singer, and precisely because of that, I think this song could be quite comfortable for women with lower voices to sing! When you perform it, try your best to recreate that side-to-side groove and rhythmic feel!
When love endsRin-ne

Rapper Rin-ne, who enjoys overwhelming support from young people.
He’s not what you’d call a strictly underground, hardcore rapper; rather, he’s an overground artist with many love-themed songs, and his pop sensibility has made him especially popular among teen girls.
His classic track “Koi ga Owareba” (“When Love Ends”) is a captivating work featuring lyrics that capture the bittersweetness of romance and a delicate vocal line.
Because it’s a mellow rap, pitch plays a significant role, but the parts are on the lower side and there aren’t big jumps in melody, so I think even lower-voiced women can sing it well.
