A must-see for low-voiced women! Popular songs that are easy to sing at karaoke
These days, many songs for both women and men are in higher keys, so there are probably many women with lower voices who feel, “I can’t find songs I can sing because my voice is low,” or “I’m looking for lower-key songs for karaoke.” Forcing yourself to sing songs that don’t suit your natural voice can hurt your throat, and it can be stressful when you can’t sing the way you want.
But don’t worry! There are plenty of songs that sound captivating even with a low voice.

Male artist (51–60)
gentianWANIMA

A track included on WANIMA’s second album, COMINATCHA!!, which was released in October 2019.
It’s a beautiful ballad that leaves you with a bittersweet feeling.
The chorus, sung with powerful, belted vocals, is especially striking, and it’s a song I’d love for women with lower—or rather, slightly more masculine—voices to try singing and enjoy.
Don’t overthink it or aim to “sing it perfectly”—just let your emotions out as they are and enjoy belting it.
That seems to be the best way to make it a song that truly resonates with listeners.
Sing of springback number

A track included on back number’s first mini-album “Nogashita Sakana,” which was released on February 18, 2009.
I mentioned at the beginning of this article that being able to sing male-vocal songs is a special privilege of low-voiced women, and this song is truly one of the best choices to showcase the charm of those low-voiced singers.
Try singing it with style and draw your friends’ attention! For the higher parts like the chorus, try placing the sound as if you’re resonating it against your upper palate and nose; it will ring out beautifully, so give it a try!
Blue HabitatTatsuya Kitani

A single by Tatsuya Kitani released in July 2023.
In addition to digital distribution, it was also released the same year as an EP and a CD single.
It was used as the opening theme for the TV anime Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death.
I’m confident that lower-voiced women can sing this song in the original key without any changes.
In the original, some parts are sung in falsetto; women might be able to sing those sections in chest voice, but doing so could diminish the original vibe.
Even if you choose chest voice for the high falsetto parts, try to relax and sing them as softly as possible to preserve the feel of the original.
VertigoMAN WITH A MISSION

Some women with lower voices might want to lean into that depth and sing songs with a loud, powerful sound.
In that case, I recommend Vertigo.
It’s a new track from MAN WITH A MISSION, crafted with a raw, aggressive feel, featuring intense guitar riffs and scratching throughout.
In contrast to the rough instrumentation, the vocal line has a narrow range and few long sustained notes, making it especially easy to sing for women with husky low voices.
Lights Out feat. Jeremy QuartusNulbarich

Centered around singer-songwriter JQ, Nulbarich has operated as a “band” with a fluid lineup, gaining popularity for their refined sound rooted in Black music, but they announced a hiatus as of 2024.
Lights Out, included on CLOSE A CHAPTER—their final album before the hiatus—also drew attention for its music video, which for the first time featured the band members themselves.
It’s a track with their signature, stylish mellow groove and a heartwarming, wonderfully crafted chorus melody.
It’s also recommended for lower-voiced female singers who want to try melodies with that so-called Western pop feel.
Male artists (61–70)
amberSEKAI NO OWARI

SEKAI NO OWARI hadn’t had any major activity lately, but they’ve finally dropped a new song: Kohaku (Amber).
While the band is known for a fantastical, pop-leaning sound, this track is crafted as a calm ballad throughout.
The vocal range is somewhat narrow, and the tempo is slow.
Thanks to the slower tempo and the lack of complex melodic leaps, it’s easier to match the pitch, which makes it a comfortable song to sing.
Lights Off (feat. Natori)TAKU INOUE

Music producer TAKU INOUE, known for his sophisticated musicality and collaborations with many artists.
“Lights Off (feat.
Natori)” is a collaboration with singer-songwriter Natori that makes the most of Natori’s youthful yet low, sweet vocal tone.
While the song features some high phrases with touches of falsetto, it generally sits in a lower register overall, which highlights the appeal of women with lower voices.
The vocal line is also gently contoured with little dramatic rise and fall, so consider adding it to your repertoire.
