A must-see for low-voiced women! Popular songs that are easy to sing at karaoke
These days, many songs for both women and men are in higher keys, so there are probably many women with lower voices who feel, “I can’t find songs I can sing because my voice is low,” or “I’m looking for lower-key songs for karaoke.” Forcing yourself to sing songs that don’t suit your natural voice can hurt your throat, and it can be stressful when you can’t sing the way you want.
But don’t worry! There are plenty of songs that sound captivating even with a low voice.

Male artist (41–50)
yellowback number

This is back number’s 21st single in total, released on September 29, 2021.
It was selected as the theme song for ABEMA’s original dating reality show “Don’t Be Fooled by the Wolf: Rainbow.” It’s a very pleasant, refreshing mid-tempo track, and just singing it might make you feel happy.
The vocal melody has a somewhat wide range for male singers, so performing it in the original key might be challenging; however, it seems ideal for women who are strong in the lower range.
What do you think? Being able to sing male-vocal songs in the original key is a big advantage for low-voiced women! Definitely give it a try!
DRESSING ROOMNatori

Singer-songwriter Natori, whose uniquely low yet youthful voice leaves a strong impression.
Since the success of “overdose,” they’ve been consistently releasing hit tracks.
Among Natori’s songs, the one I especially recommend is “DRESSING ROOM.” This piece features a vocal line that makes full use of Natori’s lower register, making it a very singable song for women with lower voices.
The occasional brief high phrases add an accent, so keep an ear out for those as you sing.
Male artist (51–60)
purplequeen bee

Queen Bee is a three-piece rock band that continues to command a singular presence in Japan’s music scene with overwhelming vocal ability, genre-defying songs, and dramatic live performances rooted in their own aesthetics.
While retaining an underground vibe, Queen Bee has also achieved commercial success.
Their digital single “Murasaki,” released in February 2025, reveals a new side of the band: it’s a straightforward ballad of grand scale that captivates from the very first lines.
Vocalist Avu-chan is known for a wide vocal range, but “Murasaki” is largely built around low to mid-range melodies, making it a comfortable song even for women with lower voices to sing.
Rhapsody of TemptationGuild

The 11th single by the Japanese visual kei band Guild, released in January 2014.
Guild’s vocalist, Ryuichi, has a beautifully pure, almost boyish voice, and I think this is also one of the best male-vocal songs for women to sing.
Since there are many parts where you have to sing a bit fast, be mindful of that when doing karaoke; if possible, it’s best to memorize the lyrics to some extent beforehand.
It’s a fun song to get everyone hyped by copying the choreography from Guild’s live performances!
Disco FLOAzusagawa

Azusagawa is a vocalist currently gaining attention in the utaite community.
They haven’t explicitly stated their gender, but judging from the timbre, they’re likely male.
That said, it’s not a typical male voice—it’s a uniquely pitched tone that could be described as a low-voiced female, so this time I’m recommending them for women with lower voices.
Their track “Disco FLO” features a downbeat yet stylish melody, with the vocal line emphasizing the lower to mid range.
Singing with breathy overtones will bring you closer to the original vibe, so please use it as a reference.
dance hallMrs. GREEN APPLE

A song by the Japanese rock band Mrs.
GREEN APPLE, included on their mini-album “Unity,” released on July 8, 2022.
It was made available digitally on May 24 ahead of the mini-album’s release.
The track is used as the new theme song for Fuji TV’s morning information program “Mezamashi 8.” Motoki Omori, the vocalist of Mrs.
GREEN APPLE, is a singer whose appeal lies in a voice rich in high overtones for a male vocalist, and I think this song is especially well-suited for women with slightly boyish voices to sing.
Since the song’s charm includes its lightly bouncing rhythm, be careful not to lag behind or rush the backing track’s rhythm when you sing it.
white noiseOfficial HIGE DANDism

This is Official HIGE DANDism’s ninth digital download single, released in January 2023.
Coming three months after their previous release, it was written as the opening theme for the TV anime Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown Arc.
The band’s vocalist, Satoshi Fujwara—needless to say—has a captivating, high, androgynous voice, making this song one of the best choices for lower-voiced female singers to perform at karaoke.
Since the song is built around relatively large phrases, be sure to feel the beat firmly as you sing so you don’t rush ahead of the accompaniment.
