SoftBank Music Project “Smartphone Boat” Version

Studying on a smartphone—people who aren’t familiar with it might indeed be surprised.
This is SoftBank’s commercial “Smartphone Boat.” The CM song is sung by the legendary enka singer Sayuri Ishikawa.
As the title suggests, it’s an original song themed around smartphones.
The official music video has also been released, so if you’re curious about the full version, please check it out.

SoftBank Air: “No Installation Needed” Edition

This is SoftBank Air’s “No Installation Needed” commercial featuring Aya Ueto, Koji Matoba, and the comedy duo Uji Koji.
In the Wi-Fi ad, Ueto emphasizes that no installation is required, and each time she says it, the various “Koji” characters get dropped or blown away and disappear.
It’s a very comedic and amusing ad, but the commercial song is the opera aria “Nessun Dorma,” which creates a solemn atmosphere, and that contrast makes it even funnier.
SoftBank “SoftBank Hikari” Shirato Family “Pinball” Version 30 seconds

“He Was A Dandy, She Was A Belle From Dimples” is used in a fun commercial where the Shiroto family becomes pinball targets, and the service is introduced through the voices that play when the ball hits them.
The singer is Shirley Temple, who would later become a Hollywood actress.
From the very beginning, a cheerful harmonica melody plays, and Shirley’s delightfully buoyant singing makes it the kind of song that makes you want to go hiking or for a stroll!
SoftBank PANTONE

It was used in a commercial featuring Cameron Diaz.
It’s a hit song by the Irish sister group The Nolans.
The original title is “I’m in the Mood for Dancing.” It once reached number one on Japan’s Oricon chart, and it’s a familiar tune to many Japanese people, having been featured in numerous commercials.
SoftBank “Wild Dad” Version

In the SoftBank commercial, comedian Sugichan rides his motorcycle in a wild way, only to be overtaken by the even wilder-looking Shiroto family father on a bicycle.
Adding an extra layer of wildness to the ad’s vibe is Deep Purple’s “Smoke On The Water,” from their 1972 album Machine Head.
The memorable guitar melody heard in the commercial is a classic riff that countless guitarists have played.
Words like “wild” and “cool” couldn’t be more fitting!
